Hello, I am a Fibro Advocate From Singapore!
Corporate communications practitioner pursuing a graduate degree in Communication Management while struggling with Fibromyalgia, and passionate in raising awareness on the behalf of all Fibro Warriors in Singapore.
The lack of awareness and understanding about Fibromyalgia impedes the process of diagnosis and treatment which consequently impairs the emotional well-being of those living with this condition. Having gone through a period of exasperation and perplexity while trying to find an answer to my pain, I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in November 2020, shortly after my diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder – Sjögren’s Syndrome in August 2020, the beginning of a lifelong challenge.
The journey from diagnosis to treatment was incredibly challenging and complex for me due to an absence of research and knowledge about Fibromyalgia in Singapore, which I believe can be changed and made better through the power of public awareness and education
Walk With Sunshine is to let all Fibro Warriors know that We don’t have to walk this journey alone.
Everyone’s body is wired differently and I will be sharing my journey and my practical guide to living with Fibromyalgia. Understanding our struggles with occasional fibro fog, my content will be streamlined for the ease of reading. Most importantly, I seek to create a change in the public and medical perception of Fibromyalgia.
Walk With Sunshine
Sunshine is the epitome of hope that signifies a brand new day when the sun rises; giving us a beacon of light in the darkness.
To all Fibro Warriors,
You are not walking this journey alone.
